The Firm was established in 1946 by Mr Thomas Boyd Whyte who, at that time
operated as a sole practitioner.
Mr Boyd Whyte’s underlying philosophy was one built on social
responsibility and he saw a local need for the less able members of
society. Hence his commitment from an early day to Legal Aid.
In the 60 years since the firm was established, it has grown, but
still honours that philosophy.
It is now believed that this should be extended to include all the
local needs of a local community including conveyancing and probate and
wills.
The Practice is spread over two offices. The original site of
the 302 Broadway is now occupied by the conveyancing, probate and family
departments. The criminal department is housed in it’s own
apartment at 287/289 Broadway.
Whether a client is funding their own legal work or is in receipt of
Legal Aid, it is the view that the service provided will be exactly the
same. |
